  THIS IS MY CHURCH, PASTOR MATHESON IS A WONDERFUL PASTOR, RIGHT TO THE POINT TELL IT LIKE IT IS, RIGHT FROM THE BIBLE AND NOT AFRAID TO STEP ON YOUR TOES KIND OF PASTOR. MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SAVED TROUGH HIS PREACHING AND DEDICATION TO THE LORD AND HE DOES NOT GIVE CREDIT TO HIMSELF NOR TO THE CHURCH BUT TO JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD. EVERYONE IN THE AREA OF HAYESVILLE, HIAWASSEE, MURPHY NC SHOULD VISIT AND I PROMISE YOU WILL BE WELCOMED WITH OPENED ARMS.

  Kids just moved back wanted to get them into a good community church...it spoke to them and they look forward to going again!

  For anyone who is looking for a contemporary, non-denomonational, bible-based church, this is the best in my opinion in Hiawassee, GA. The Lead Pastor is a Godly man, approachable, and a gifted speaker. The people who attend the church are friendly. There is childcare available and a great teen program as well. Wednesdays are bible-study services. Sunday services are great. This is a smaller church, but growing. Check it out!

  I literally woke up at 9:30 and said, "I'm going to church!" Thing is, I don't have a church to go to, so I remember seeing this church going to work and how they have people out helping in the parking lot and I thought, "They look friendly." They had a greeter inside as well who introduced me to the Pastor and then offered me refreshments. They have a short praise and worship and then the preaching. The music was a bit loud for my taste, but I'll praise God to heavy metal if I have to (not that they are heavy metal, it's just the sound system that's loud). But then I thought, "This is great, I can sing out loud and not have to worry about anyone hearing me!" What a great idea, all churches should do that - everyone would sing! Then came the preaching and Communion! It was beautiful and the Pastor brought new and insightful (true and convicting as well) teachings I have never heard before and this old dog sincerely loves learning new things about her Father! The following Sunday I was going to head to another church to be diligent about my search, but I was running late and thought this one started at 10:30 (it doesn't, it starts at 10am) and it was closer so I went again. I walked in there late, but no one stoned me or made me feel bad about it. Again, the Pastor taught on Abram, Sarai and Lot and brought things to Light that I had never heard before or found on my own. This is proof positive that he has his own relationship and isn't following some missal. I perceive that God is working in him and through him and that's what I choose for my life, thus that's what I want to be "under". I am going back tonight - Wednesday - thinking, "If Sunday is that good, Wednesdays must be phenomenal!!!" They seem to have hearts for the community and the children/youth, so I look forward to learning more about them and if God wills it, putting my own roots down.
